IJKA Sri Lanka (International Japan Karate Association – Sri Lanka) is the national branch of the International Japan Karate Association, dedicated to the practice and promotion of Shotokan Karate under the respected lineage of the late Hanshi Sadashige Kato.
Organization and Leadership
- Chief Instructor: Sensei Rohana Greasman, the officially appointed representative, IJKA Japan and Chief Instructor of IJKA Sri Lanka
- President: Senior Professor Pradeep Jayaweera

Key Activities and Programs
- Annual General Meeting (AGM): The 2025 AGM was held on 7 December 2025 at Grand Royal, Boralesgamuwa, where members reviewed the year’s activities and formulated plans for 2026.
- Karate Grading: A successful grading examination took place on 25 November 2025 at A. Kannangara Model School, Anamaduwa, under the supervision of Sensei Rohana Greasman.
- School Karate Programs: IJKA Sri Lanka actively promotes karate at the school level through training sessions and events, including programs conducted at WP/HR Sri Medhankara Maha Vidyalaya, Horana.
- International Participation: Members of IJKA Sri Lanka have been invited to participate in international events, including the IJKA Official Open European Event scheduled for July 2025 in Bulgaria.
